
Truth and reconciliation
At Elevate Engineering, we acknowledge that we operate on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley Nations). We also recognize the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
We are committed to honoring Indigenous history and culture and to fostering an environment of truth and reconciliation. Elevate Engineering aims to integrate Indigenous knowledge, values, and practices into our projects and operations, respecting the principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.
We acknowledge President- Chelsea Burdon and Advisor- Nora Nivens homeland of Mi’kmaki and Elder Albert Marshall the founder of Two-Eyed Seeing. Elder Albert Marshall resides in Eskasoni First Nations. Eskasoni is a leader in self-governance, cultural preservation, and sustainable development.
